If you are a graduate student pursuing higher education and research in a STEM discipline, you already know that success and publication go hand-in-hand. Publications distinguish your work, make it visible, and fuel your career with agency. Most likely, you already serve on a research team and support a principal investigator, and you may have had your name listed as secondary author on a peer-reviewed journal article. This workshop explores additional writing and publishing opportunities for you as a lead author. We will discuss a variety of forms—literature reviews, conference papers, essays, academic papers, and mainstream articles—how to write them, how and where to submit them, and how to maximize their chances for going into print.
