Insights on Parenting with Empathy

Empathy starts with the ability to experience the same emotions someone else is experiencing, or to understand the feelings of another.  In practice, it involves empathetic reasoning plus acting with kindness and compassion.  This presentation explores ways to take your child’s perspective and still be a loving authority. It also offers ideas for helping your child build empathy, and strategies for nurturing positivity, self-esteem and self-compassion.
