Each session will feature: * Current accurate information drawn from the developmental sciences, cognitive neuroscience, and positive psychology. * A Personal Practice to try at home with suggestions for exploring some of the ideas presented. * Clear suggestions for applying the information. Insights on Parenting with Empathy Empathy starts with the ability to experience the same emotions someone else is experiencing, or to understand the feelings of another. In practice, it involves empathetic reasoning plus acting with kindness and compassion. This presentation explores ways to take your child’s perspective and still be a loving authority. It also offers ideas for helping your child build empathy, and strategies for nurturing positivity, self-esteem and self-compassion.
