Sharif Elmusa, an associate professor of political science at the American University of Cairo, gives a talk on Lebanese poet and journalist Iliya Abu Madi (1890-1957).

Elmusa, in addition to being a leading scholar of water politics in the Middle East, writes and translates Arabic poetry, and co-edited the anthology Grape Leaves: a Century of Arab-American Poetry. 

A reception will be held at 6 p.m., with lecture following at 7 p.m.
