First-Year Aggie Connections (FYAC) groups first-year students (freshmen and transfers, including international students) into 25-person “Connections” based on a shared identity, interest, or theme. Connections meet regularly for one academic quarter and are led by staff, faculty, or graduate student facilitators who engage students in discussions surrounding crucial topics related to transitioning to life at UC Davis.

We would like to encourage you to become a facilitator. In order to submit a proposal a staff member must receive supervisor approval and propose a theme for their potential Connection. Get creative! Themed Connections should appeal to a diverse student body. Want to join but not sure how to get started? Attend our theme proposal workshop on Tuesday, April 17th (12-1 PM; 323 South Hall). We'll discuss developing a Connection theme and tips for planning weekly meetings. Full guidelines along with the proposal form can be found on our website.
