“Chocolate Unmasked: An Evening of Curiosities and Tastings”

The Davis Science Café presents a conversation with Louis Grivetti, professor emeritus of nutrition, whose books include Chocolate: History, Culture and Heritage. The story of chocolate is more than good flavor, taste and texture. Oozing through nearly 5,000 years of human history from the earliest Amazon rainforest rituals to 21st-century, chocolate reflects human cultural practices in ways too many to count. Attend the presentation and participate in the chocolate tastings!
