A way to promote healing, by sharing your stories about race, culture, color, language and class. Open to all. Funded by a UC Davis Diversity and Inclusion Innovation Grant, and modeled after activities organized by Attitudinal Healing Connection, an Oakland‐based organization that defines racism as a “life‐threatening disease” and is devoted to building strong, healthy communities.

Four healing circles are planned, each from 6 to 9 p.m., dinner and parking included. Here are the dates, topics and locations on UC Davis’ Sacramento campus:

  • Thursday, Oct. 19 — Sharing Stories of Our Past, Present, and Future. Auditorium, MIND Institute, 2825 50th St., Sacramento.
  • Thursday, Nov. 16 — Learning About our History From a Racial and Spatial Perspective. 2030 Facilities and Support Services Building (FSSB), 4800 Second Ave., Sacramento.
