This course introduces laws and policies that inform UC Davis' practices promoting inclusion of the LGBTQ community. Course objectives include broadening our understanding of the experiences of LGBTQ people on our campus by exploring the culture, language and terminology related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Using case studies, participants will gain awareness and knowledge of the issues that impact members of the LGBTQ community in the workplace, and will engage in developing strategies to work toward creating a welcoming work environment.

Faculty and staff are invited to register for this course through Staff Development and Professional Services (SDPS).

This course is developed by the Office of Campus Community Relations (OCCR) as a part of its Diversity Education Program.
