Center for Healthcare Policy and Research Seminar Series

Ed Wilson, senior research associate in health economics, Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research, University of Cambridge, introduces the concept of “value of information” and provides examples from his experience to illustrate the main points. Value of information analysis (VoI) estimates the expected benefit of a research project in terms of the value of the information that is expected, and compares this with the cost. VoI essentially estimates the return on investment in proposed research projects. The talk will conclude with thoughts about new applications of VoI and future research needs.

Lunch will be provided. RSVP to Kirstin Truitt by email.
