Graduate students in the Department of Food Science and Technology host their first fundraising dinner: Cooking Class, led by chef and graduate student Irene Yim, who graduated with honors from the California Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco. Join Irene and friends for an evening of hands-on cooking — then sit down to eat, family style (with wine). Proceeds will support graduate student company tours, scholarships, student activities and opportunities for professional development.
The menu: chilled sweet summer corn soup with chives arancini with peas and mozzarella; mustard and garlic crusted pork chops fontina and corn soft polenta brioche panzanella, brown sugar bacon, tomatoes, peaches;and whipped sabayon, balsamic marinated strawberries.
