Come learn how to make your veggie and herb garden yield beautiful, huge crops. The first 90 minutes will be an exclusive demonstration and talk with two staff experts: Nursery Manager, Taylor Lewis and Nursery Special Projects Manager, Abbey Hart. Following the talk stay and browse our extensive collection of UC Davis-grown plants in our one-acre Arboretum Teaching Nursery.

Get more buzz and hum in your home garden! Learn easy strategies and excellent plants for attracting more bees, butterflies and birds to your sustainable landscape.

The first 75-90 minutes will be a walking tour with our staff GATEways Horticulturist, Rachel Davis, through the hummingbird and pollinator demonstration gardens she manages. The rest of the time the class is welcome to shop our extensive collection of UC Davis-grown plants at our one-acre teaching nursery where many of the plants seen on the walking tour will be available for sale.
